Una Lanterna magica per il planetario
To mark the Winter Solstice and the “DUG Award Esordienti” Prize, the Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Infini.to – Museo dell'Astronomia e Planetario present a show of astronomy-themed moving images, created using the projection system of the dome at the Pino Torinese Planetarium.
The show, lasting approximately 15 minutes, alternates digitally generated images from the planetarium’s database of celestial bodies with images from the Museo Nazionale del Cinema’s rich collection of magic lantern slides. It will be introduced by a short projection of astronomical glass slides, presented using an original magic lantern from the collections of the Museo Nazionale del Cinema.
Admission: €3 per person + admission ticket to the Museum of Space. Free for holders of the Carta Musei and Torino+Piemonte Card, children under 6, and companions of visitors with disabilities.
